Taiwan Airport and Business Class Lounge

Business class flights to Taiwan will arrive in one of the region’s three international airports: Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Kaohsiung International Airport or Taipei International Airport. Taoyuan is the most frequently used airport, especially for travelers arriving from outside of Asia. The airport is located twenty miles from the capital city of Taipei but it also connects via rail to all the other major population centers in Taiwan. Passengers on business class flights to Taiwan also gain access to the business class lounges. A business class lounge is the perfect respite for any weary traveler. Getting off the long flight and feeling gross? Take a hot shower before heading down to a salon for a quick shave. Still not feeling right? Perhaps a trip to the spa for a massage will do the trick. Before you leave, check out a made-to-order noodle bar or perhaps down a delicious craft beer. The business class lounge is a great way to start your vacation. The only potential downside is you might not want to leave.

Things To Do In Taiwan

After arriving in the country on business class flights to Taiwan, you will discover an unlimited amount of activities to try, food to gorge on and sights to see. Whether you want to go shopping in the capital’s astounding malls or go for a mountainous hike to an ancient temple, Taiwan has you covered. And the best part is because the island is so small, Taiwan is a place you can have your cake and eat it too. Speaking of eating, in Taiwan, “Have you eaten?” is used as a greeting and soon you will see why. In the capital of Taipei there are tremendous night markets that are filled with tourists and locals alike. Hungry people flock to the tiny, cramped booths and carts that make up this heavenly destination. A brief stroll down one of the many streets that make up the most famous night market, known as Miaokou, will find you nibbling on everything from delicious tofu, to oyster omelettes, to the best sushi outside of Japan.

Though it has a busting cityscape, Taiwan is also a nature fan’s dream. The country has a landscape that will bewilder the unsuspecting hiker. Perhaps none is more impressive than the Lalashan Forest Reserve, located within driving distance of the capital Taipei. This reserve is nearly forty square miles and is home to one of the largest remaining groups of ancient red hinoki cypress trees in Taiwan. The oldest of these trees is over 2800 years old and it’s not like the ones around it are getting any younger. Hike around this dense, mysterious forest for long enough, and soon you will feel like you have stumbled into a different time, when the island was only home to sublime and infinite forests.

Another Taiwanese delight is to take a dip in one of its many hot springs. Located two hours from Taipei by train, the small town of Jiaoshi is perhaps the most renowned for its springs. Though the entire island is blessed with hundreds of these springs which are formed when groundwater is heated from lava in the Earth’s mantle and pushed to the Earth’s surface. These famous springs are renowned for their curative properties. The sulfur and heat will soothe any aches, pains or injuries you may have. What could be more enjoyable after a long, sweaty hike than soaking in one of Taiwan’s luxurious hot springs and emerging feeling fresh and pain free?

Outside of the main cities, the train is the best way to get around Taiwan. All major population centers are connected by train and there are a variety of classes available, from slower and cheaper lines that are more scenic, to more expensive, express lines that will get you to your destination in the blink of an eye. Looking for some exercise and sightseeing? Taiwan also has breathtaking bicycle paths running along the east and west coasts that will not disappoint the intrepid adventurer.

Travelling to Taiwan should be on every traveler’s bucket list. Whatever your passion is, whether it’s food, nature, shopping or nightlife, Taiwan has it. Take a long bike ride surrounded by ancient, wild nature and then dip into a sizzling hot spring to cure what ails you.
